Howard & Pat London
Howard & Pat London are the lucky dog-parents of Lucky! Howard has authored a business
planning book and written marketing collateral copy for clients for more than 35 years, but
Lucky the Poochipug is his and his wife’s first children’s book. They felt it was a story that
should be shared. Pat assisted in the creation of the book and the word “PoochipugTM”!
Pat also had a marketing career, but more important, she is a lover of all animals, big and
small. For 7 years she was on the Board of Advisors for The Houston Humane Society. During
their 37 years of marriage, Pat has inspired Howard to love all animals as well.
On their ranches, for 9 years, they rescued, fed, and cared for exotic Sika deer, Black Buck
Antelope, Peruvian Horses, Mammoth and Miniature Donkeys, Longhorn Cattle, Blue Gill Perch in
their pond, 2 independent cats and Aggie their beloved dog. It was a peaceable kingdom.
In 2013, they moved to a home and then to a condominium in the city. Fortunately, their
beloved Aggie moved with them. When she passed away in 2021, the story of Lucky the
PoochipugTM began.

Their book was illustrated by Sophie McGregor, a very talented young artist. When Sophie read the first draft of the story, she was so moved by it’s wholesomeness and was totally excited to participate. Her creative and beautiful illustrative style brought lots of laughter, fun, and sweet emotion to Lucky and his family.
Sophie is also a full-time 2-D Animation student and loves her cat Jojo.
